Quetta: Consultation on Culture Policy Held

Quetta: Consultation on formulation of culture policy of Pakistan was held in Balochi Academy, on Wednesday.
Consultation was a part of series of such consultations which will be held throughout the country to finalize the culture policy of Pakistan, as sanctioned by federal government.
Consultation in Quetta was sponsored by Lok Virsa and culture department of government of Balochistan.
Fozia Saeed, executive Director of Lok Virsa and Jamal Shah famous artists from Balochistan were the chief guests of the consultation meeting.
Artists, authors, actors, and academic persons in huge numbers attended the consultation meeting and gave their input for the culture policy of Pakistan.
Fozia Saeed appreciated the consultation meeting held in Quetta and said that it will help the government in forming an inclusive culture policy.
Addressing the consultation meeting, Jamal Shah urged people in Balochistan to make their voice heard.

“Any culture policy that does not incorporate culture policy of Balochistan cannot be a true national culture policy,” said Mr. Shah.
He further said that “If our culture is not incorporated in the national culture policy then it would be fair for us to engage in all sorts of protests.”
Participants of the meeting were distributed in three groups who gave their inputs on different thematic areas of the culture policy.
