Dalbandin: People of Dalbandin have lamented the scarcity of drinking water and blamed Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for the problem.
Dalbandin is a town located in Chagai district of Balochistan and 340 Kilometers far from capital of the province.
Mr. Saeed Reki local resident of Killi Gharibabad told Balochistan Voices that people’s daily routine is badly disturbed due to water shortage problem.
“People are compelled to buy water tankers on high prices from 1,000 to 1,500 Rupees,” added Mr. Reki. He continued that the water tankers also supply salted and harmful water in reward. People are suffering from different throat diseases due to harmful drinking water.
Mr. Imran Badini, another resident of Killi Gharibabad, told Balochistan Voices that PHE department is treating them like step child. “Household ladies always get disturbed due to the lack of water and they are not able to fulfill the basic demands of family,” added Mr. Badini.
Mr. Badini lamented that Balochistan government has announced a lot to improve water Shortage problem in Dalbandin but due to capacity problems of PHE department and rampant corruption no development is taking place on the ground.
People of Dalbandin have requested from Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri to take serious action against such a big issue and ensure pure water supply to residents of Dalbandin.
