Quetta: A seminar with the title of “Peaceful Families, Peaceful Societies” was held in Quetta Branch of Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges, on Saturday.
Large number of parents, nobles, journalists and well-known people of city attended the program to listen to the inaugural address of Prof. Hasnain Nazish, the head of Urdu department and Prof. Murat YILMAZ, the head of Islamiat department PAKTURK Institutions, as the keynote speaker.
Prof. Murat YILMAZ delivered presentation on Divine Principles Derived from the Qur’an and the Sunnah about Establishing Peace in the World and about Roles of Families in the Establishment of Peaceful Societies.
He mentioned that one of the reasons of this negative idea about Muslims is the failure of us in understanding what is “jihad”. Today a great number of Muslims think that “jihad” means only “holy war of Muslims against non-Muslims.” However in reality it has a more comprehensive meaning of “every good effort done by Muslims for the sake of Allah.”
In the second part of the seminar which was about the role of families in establishing peace in the world, Prof. Murat said that “families are the seeds of societies. If these seeds are in good condition, the fruits (new generation) will be later on in good condition as well.”
Prof. Murat urged parents to behave with their children mercifully to let them shape their character full of mercy about all people regardless of their faith, race and nationality.
Prof. Murat concluded his lecture on the note that in order to achieve global peace, Muslims have to follow the rules of Islam.
