Traffic Signals still not Operational in Quetta

Quetta: Traffic signals on roads of Quetta re still not operational, learnt Balochistan Voices.
Traffic system of Quetta is believed to be in abysmal condition and lack of traffic signals is one of the reasons for it.
Recently, Government of Balochistan installed Traffic signals in different areas of Quetta city to control the traffic and save the people from long time wait.
The Balochistan Government invested millions of Rupees to improve traffic system but due to the incapability of administration these Signal lights are broken, said sources.
Mr. Sameer Khalid, a Local resident of Quetta, told Balochistan Voices that it is very good initiative that Government has established traffic signals but these are still not active even after 4 years.
Mr. Iftkhar Baloch, a Local resident of Quetta, said that we often face a lot of problems due to violation of traffic rules. The Traffic signals must be operational to control the traffic in City, he demanded.
Narrow roads of Quetta become too much crowded in the day time and traffic jams become a routine. Traffic Jams cause problems for ambulances during emergency times and People face a lot of trouble while commuting to office, school, colleges and University.
