Balochistan Again Ignored in HEC Recruitments

Quetta: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has once again ignored Balochistan in recruitment for contractual positions for a new project that it has announced to start.
According to job recruitment advertisement published in a local newspaper, HEC has invited applications for 7 positions of a new project called “Establishment of Technology fund for HEC scholars returning after completion of PhD to introduce new technologies in Pakistan.”

These positions include the important positions of Project Director, field Coordinator etc.

HEC, which is the federal body for regulating higher education in Pakistan, has not allocated any position for Balochistan, out of 7 positions.

August 22 is last date for application of forms and applicants from Balochistan can’t apply for these jobs.
Earlier this year, HEC has been blamed for depriving Balochistan from its resource distribution.
HEC has also announced new phase of Undergraduate Indigenous Scholarships for the Students of Balochistan and FATA.
Share of Balochistan in these scholarships has been reduced to 50 percent from 60 percent in last phase of the same program.
