CPEC will Benefit all Provinces: Ahsan Iqbal

Quetta: “China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a long term plan which will complete till 2030, all four provinces will get benefits from its positive impacts,” said Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Reforms, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of two new blocks in University of Balochistan, on Tuesday.
He added that Gwadar International Airport, Gwadar Eastbay Expressway, along with Coal-fired power plant project are under construction to cater to the infrastructure needs of Gwadar city.
“CPEC will improve the economic situation of the country very soon and federal government under leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will ensure the timely completion of the projects,” he continued.
Earlier, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal inaugurated “Seismology of Renewable Energy and Earthquake Studies” Departments at University of Balochistan Quetta.
6 modern class rooms, 2 modern Laboratories and 12 modern offices will be constructed for these departments.
The departments will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 100.65 Millions. Funds will be provided by federal government of Pakistan for the construction of both departments.
