Letter: Educating Children

Once I was visiting Aslam Shah Market Turbat, a seven year old child came to me and asked me if he might polish my shoes. I asked him whether he didn’t go to school that day. He replied that he was not studying in school.
When I asked the reason, he told calmly that he was a poor child, his father was a shoes sewer, and his mother washes the clothes of relatives in order to have the food for three times, and my father sent me to polish shoes.
These are the conditions of our society they don’t think of their children’s future but see the present situation. They are unaware but they are spoiling their children’s lives, in future their children will also possess the same concept as their parents had.
If it remains like same, then our nation will not develop and that’s the reason that Pakistan is still a developing country rather than a developed country, she won’t develop if the people own thoughts like this.
My this letter is dedicated to all those parents that for God Sake please educate your children, do not deprive them of education, as education is a powerful weapon which protects them as long as they are not breathless.
