The situation seems in projected economic corridor Gwadar and its adjoining areas like that they are deprived of every basic need of life. The living standard almost worst, the majority of public does not have facilities for good health care, sanitation and potable water. Even though, mostly street roads flooded and broken due to unavailability of sewerage system in Gwadar city.
After construction of Merani dam in district Kech, lit the ray of hope in the minds of Gwadar’s local public that long lasting drinking water issue may go to be resolved, if through pipeline water distributed from the said water reservoir to the area in dry season, when only water reservoir Ankara dam dried. But unfortunately, the so-called nationalist party tactfully buried the demand of them. In spite of, installation of desalination plant nothing there just a waste of these taxpayers money. If the government is incapable of providing drinking water to its citizens, then how would one hope for big one?
On this regard before a week, a protest launched by Union Council Pishukan’s masses, where protestors blocked the main road to Gwadar for many hours and burnt tyres on roads to record their protest.  The protest is the democratic right of every citizen.
The government must resolve this problem as early as possible on the priority basis. And solution must be long lasting, not timely. Provincial authorities should take advantage of the low level and clean the Ankara dam of silt to raise its storage capacity for future needs. After analyzing and experiencing these dismally worst condition in Gwadar and its surrounding population I do not feel hesitation to say, the CPEC, just a doldrums and nothing else there for the natives of Gwadar.
