Health Department to Provide Ambulances on the Highways

Quetta: Secretary Health Noor ul Haq Baloch has said that Provision of basic health services along with ambulances on the highways is the first most priority of health department and strictly commanded the DHOs that are connecting network of National or International highways.
It is very crucial to provide Ambulance facility to the restive districts and cautioned them to make it possible by latter and sprit. He said that while addressing the closing ceremony of remaining 15 District Health officers/MS’s departmental high-powered administrative round table conference.
Additional Secretary Health (Dev.) Abdul Rauf Baloch, Director General Health Dr. Masood Qadir  Noshrwani, project director of vertical programs, All 15 districts DHO’s/MS’s and other health officials were present on the occasion.
The main thematic approach of that event was to attain the details of ambulances, development progress, administrative loopholes, lack of coordination and other correlated issues. The event was held in connection to the second day in the directorate general committee room.
In the event the Safe Blood Transfusion Programme Chief Professor Dr. Nadeem Anwar briefed the participants about the project for delivering safe and curable treatment provision of safe blood is very crucial because the ratio of Hepatitis B-C is very high in the province for every 100 tests 5 patients are diagnosed with Hepatitis B, and for every 100 tests 6 patients are diagnosed with Hepatitis C, which is alarming like situation. for providing safe blood bags to the needy patients on time Germany Government KFW along with the support of Provincial build the Regional Blood Center at spiney Road Quetta, because the demand of blood is very high in Capital city also the RBC have the capacity to testify more than 50,000 samples per year. The ratio of thalassemia patients is also very high this programe needs to be started on other divisional headquarters, DHQs. To this secretary health said that two RBCs centers are on pipe line and they will be started soon at Turbat and Lorlai respectively.
Nutrition program head Dr. Faheem Khan also briefed the participants about his overall progress and said that in Balochistan they are giving their services in 19 districts with the support of World Bank, UNICEF, FAO. To this matter secretary health said that government is curiously committed to extend the program to other restive districts on the coming days.
HMIS project Head Dr. Sultan Rodi critically said that many districts are not giving their proper data and overall progress. To this Secretary Health has strictly recommended the DHOs/MSs to provide the relevant date in due time. Adding more he said that the salaries are being raised but the issue of absenteeism still seems that is very disappointing, to this matter no excuse is acceptable and any case of absenteeism found, the DHO will be the responsible and strict action will be taken to the doctors that may be in the form of dismissal from the service.
