Fragile Negotiations

The two days’ summit in Astana, Kazakhstan on the ‘Syrian civil war’ concluded with an agreement of trilateral countries: Russia, Iran and Turkey to enforce Bashar al Asad regime and opposition rebellion leaders to maintain fragile ceasefire in Syria.
The agenda of three sponsors partially succeeded. It is the first time that rebels have been brought to table after more than five years of war, but the Syrian government and the rebellion fighters, both the parties didn’t meet face to face in this summit, and the question is that how many groups have been brought to table? It is a question with itself. If the deal manages to attain ceasefire in the upcoming days, it may boost the confidence of trilateral countries and their wider talks on Syria’s political future, held in Geneva under UN auspices on second Wednesday of February.
Russia insists that the Astana talks are designed to complete, not to destroy the United Nation’s process, and also make a new paper: setting out a proposed future constitution for Syria, including a path to new governing system, a referendum and election that may be capable for both sides.
The Syrian rebels now seem that they have accepted the Russian ‘Peace deal’ with Turkey, but they do not make the same assignment with Tehran, and have objected on Iran to be involved in monitoring the ceasefire, arguing that its militia and its ally Hezbollah were responsible for the most ceasefire breaches in Syria.
According to the, The Independent report ´Despite the supposed ceasefire, new clashes were reported in Wadi Barada’, a beleaguered rebel area and source for most of the drinking water for Damascus, Syrian capital. Water supply lines have been cut off for weeks, and the government and rebellion sides have blamed each other. There is no doubt, without the keen support of Russia and Iran; Bashar al Asad can’t weaken the rebellion fighters which were supported by America and their Western Arab allies. In summit, Turkey urged that the opposition weakened after a crushing defeat in east Aleppo. According to a Guardian report, the Russians have moved from a stage of being a partly in the fighting and are now exerting efforts to become a guarantor. They are finding a lot of obstacles from Hezbollah forces and Iran.
During the talks Iran objected on Turkey that Erdogan government continues to support terrorists by providing arms, aid and keep its borders open for terrorists. By supporting rebellions, Erdogan also has weakened its own government and previous failed military coup, for which he blamed pentagon and took a step back from America and made a slight alliance with Russia that helped negotiations.
Syrian scenario after the Arab spring, is totally turbulent, and the Arab spring consequences show that the masses plagued from their leadership, 2008 economic crisis manifests the situation of Middle East, and for that cause America interrupted to stop the escalation of Arab spring because Washington never wants to lose the grip on their geopolitical position in Middle East, and in the epoch of terrible crisis also slightly destabilized America with its western allies.
The intrusion of America with their allies Iran and Russia changed the phase of Arab spring into massacre of innocent people and immigrant problem has been a colossal issue for them. It merely shows that the second world order of imperialism is cracked due to mercenary policies for the interest of particular, rather for the people.
Pentagon was also polarized on Middle East circumstances: one pole of policy makers constantly supporting the rebellion to sabotage the Asad government and on the other side policy makers seek Russian support to scuttle the rebellion, and now Donald Trump may be with Russia because Washington never accepts one more Afghanistan and Iraq like consequence. But inside America, Russia along with its alliances wants to take the control of Middle East for its economic and geopolitical interest.
However, on this issue America is suspicious because some of their own proxies like Al Nusra front and ISIS are out of control like Afghan Taliban. Washington manoeuvres to take strong steps on Middle East, but present ferocious circumstances can easily convince her, along with the allies to sit with Russian allies to find out a peaceful solution to Middle East crisis.
