Letter: Teaching Balochi Language in Schools

Balochi is the language of the native people of Balochistan yet it is not being taught properly in government schools of Balochistan. In Punjab province Panjabi is taught, in Sindh Sindhi is taught, in KP Pashto is taught in their schools.
It is really disappointing that the students of Balochistan can speak Balochi, but can’t read and write in Balochi language. Because government has stopped this practice in all the government schools. When the students reach in college levels, there Balochi is introduced to them as a subject and the students can’t understand that much as they can understand in school ages.
Apart from that it is the right of every citizen of a country to learn its own mother language. So I plead to the government and the concerned authorities to start teaching Balochi in government schools.
