Secretary Higher Education Kidnapped from Quetta

Quetta: Secretary Higher Education Department Government of Balochistan, Abdullah Jan, was kidnapped in broad daylight from Wahdat Colony, on Wednesday.
According to Mohammad Attique, son of Abdullah Jan, his father was kidnapped when he had left home for work. Unidentified armed men intercepted the vehicle of Abdullah Jan near 3rd Stop of Wahdat Colony and kidnapped him on gunpoint in a Toyota Vitz car.
Jan was kidnapped along with his driver. However, the abductors released the driver near Sabzal Road area and drove off to an unknown location, said DIG Quetta Abdul Razzaq Chema.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri expressed concern over the abduction and tasked the IG police of the province to take action for his recovery and submit a report on the kidnapping case.
No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction so far.
Later the day, addressing a press conference the officers associations of Balochistan Civil Services gave an ultimatum of 24 hours to government for recovery of Abdullah Jan after which all officers will quit working.
