Kamal Kakar Elected President and Attaullah Langove General Secretary of Quetta Bar Association

Quetta: Kamal Kakar Advocate was elected as President while Attaullah Langove advocate was elected as General Secretary of Quetta Bar Association, on Saturday.
Elections for district Bar Association Quetta were held in Balochistan High Court building from 8 AM in the morning to 5:00 PM. Over 500 lawyers casted their votes and 8 votes were rejected and 4 were challenged.
Kamal Khan Kakar Advocate was elected as a President with 244 Votes whereas Akbar Noorzai was runner-up with 198 votes.
Mir Atta Ullah Langove was elected as a General Secretary with 219 votes and Abdul Hayi Baloch ended at 2nd place with 216 votes.
Ajmal Kakar was elected as a Vice President with 229 votes, Amir Jan Kakar joint secretary with 228 votes, Jamil Agha Finance Secretary with 274 votes and Hewad Khan Kakar as a Library Secretary with 216 Votes.
“Elections is a part of democracy and it has finished the terror from hearts of lawyers, which was prevalent after 8th August incident,” said Atta Ullah Langove newly elected General Secretary of Quetta Bar Association while talking to Balochistan Voices.
“Election process has brought lawyers on a one page and we will face every challenge against judiciary and lawyers with unity,” He continued.
