The name Chikungunya is derived from the word” Makondde” which means to bend up. Chikungunya is a viral disease transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes and can spread through mosquitoe bites. The most common symptoms of Chikungunya are fever and joint pain. Other may include headache, muscle pain, joint swelling and rash.
Furthermore, recently this virus has spread in Turbat due to which approximately near 100 patients are suffering and is on the rise in many areas of Turbat. It is to clarify this virus spreads by two type of mosquitoes: Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti. They mainly bite the people in day Time. The virus multiply in humans and can then be picked up by other uninfected mosquitoes when they bite the infected patients to complete the replication cycle.
On the other hand, how to curb this virus? We should clean our places and the society should be prevented by infected animals.
At last, I want to say that cleanliness is important for us to take care of mosquitoes. It is a plea to the government of Balochistan to provide nets to people for controlling mosquitoes.
