Results of the verification drive show that CNICs of 249,000 employees could be verified by NADRA.  CNIC numbers of 17,341 employees are wrongly entered in the system. More than 27,000 employees have fake CNICs in their employment records.

It was also revealed that 1,600 minors, age less than 18, are also employed by Balochistan government who technically can’t have CNICs.
Report also highlighted the fact that more than 45,000 employees who don’t have verified CNICs are still receiving salary from the provincial exchequer.
A move which is speculated to be a reaction of this revelation, multiple officials of Finance department who were instrumental in this verification process have been transferred by Government of Balochistan.
