Quetta: Quetta Development Authority (QDA) Football stadium is the only ground where a large number of youngsters comes from far flung areas to play football. However this only stadium mirrors as a garbage dump.
Football players told Balochistan Voices that dumped waste of garbage on the entrance gate and inside of stadium creates hurdles for players. It also release unpleasant smell when wind starts, which disturb the players. “Sports activities needs a pleasant weather and atmosphere for players. Unluckily we are compelled to play between the dump of waste,” they said.

Players face a lot of problems during football matches. As the wind starts the weather becomes misty and disgusting which creates problems for players to play with ease. “Our colleagues have suffered throat infections due to the dust,” they added.
A large amount of funds has been released for the construction of new rooms in ground after a long time. Unfortunately, construction work is very slow and players are compelled to play outside on street and roads which causes disturbance for people.
“We are afraid that the released funds would end up in the pockets of the corrupt lot. Government must take action to ensure that quality construction work is completed on time.”
