Quetta: Majority of the districts of Balochistan are facing long hours of electricity supply suspension after two 220KV high power transmission towers were uprooted due to storm between Sibi and Dera Murad Jamali, on Wednesday night.
Electricity supply was suspended in the districts of Quetta, Sibi, Bolan, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Mastung, Kalat, Nushki and Chagai.
People observing fast in holy month of Ramzan faced great deal of trouble due to unexpected electricity supply failure in hot month of June.
According to the spokesman of QESCO, load management has been increased all across Balochistan to cope up with the electricity shortage till the time uprooted towers are repaired.
This is negation of the claim of federal government that no excessive load shedding will be carried out across the country at the time of Sehri (Fast starting) and Aftari (Fast breaking) in Ramzan.
As per the last statement of Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) Spokesmen the repair works could not have been started so far. “QESCO will commence the repair work soon with the aid of National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC)”, said the press statement of QESCO issued to the media.
Social media users from Balochistan expressed their anger against Federal government for load shedding in Balochistan.
