NA-260 Election: HDP and ANP Withdraw Candidates in Support of BNP

Quetta: Awami National Party (ANP) and Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) announced to withdraw their candidates in support of candidate of BNP in NA-260 elections which will be held on 15th July.
This announcement was made by leaders of all three parties in a press conference held at Arbab House, on Thursday.
Addressing the press conference, Sardar Asghar Achakzai the provincial President of ANP announced the withdrawal of candidates of ANP and HDP.
He said that problems of people of Balochistan can only be resolved if we struggle together and fight for our rights. “We have also agreed in principle to support each other in 2018 elections in Quetta district,” announced ANP President.
He appealed to the people of NA-260 to support Mir Bahadur Khan Mengal who is the joint candidate of BNP, ANP and HDP.

Abdul Khaliq Hazara, President of HDP, said that ethnic hatred destroys the governance in the province and this alliance will be helpful in countering it. “We will do our best for the success of Bahadur Khan Mengal in this election,” said Mr. Hazara.
Senator Dr. Jehanzeb Jamaldini, General Secretary of BNP, said that this alliance is not for 15th July election only but it will be for 2018 elections and beyond. He added, “We will carry out joint political gatherings in future onwards.”
Political campaign for NA-260 is in full swing in Quetta, Chagai and Nushki districts.
National Party is supporting candidate of JUI-F and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) is also contesting the elections.
NA-260 was declared vacant after the death of deputy Chairman of PKAMP, Abdul Rahim Mandokhail in May.
