Quetta Citizen Who Helped Chinese During Kidnapping Attempt Brought to Karachi for Treatment

Karachi: Injured Muhammad Zahir, 35, who was shot in the leg after he had rushed to rescue a Chinese national kidnapped in Quetta has been brought to Karachi for treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital by the All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises Association, led by China Harbour Engineering Company.
The Chinese company saluted his bravery and the support he had shown by putting his life at risk. The company has said it will support his treatment and complete recovery.
Chinese interest in the province of Balochistan has spiked after the announcement of the China – Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The company has vowed to continue with the work on Gwadar deep seaport despite the attacks and has assured that the relationship between Pakistan and China or work on Gwadar port will not be affected.
