Quetta: A poll carried out by Balochistan Voices on Facebook and Twitter showed that majority of the respondents believed that Panama Verdict will strengthen democracy in Pakistan.
Panama verdict was issued by Supreme Court of Pakistan last Friday in which the five member bench unanimously disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif form the office and also ordered filing of references against Nawaz Sharif and family members in NAB.
Balochistan Voices Poll had asked the question:
What will be the implications of Panama Verdict for democracy in Pakistan?
After a voting of four days, 53pc of respondents believed that it will strengthen democracy, 30pc believed that there will be business as usual after the verdict and just 17pc were of the view that this decision will create chaos.
The poll carried out by Balochistan was an unscientific web poll which could be manipulated.
