Problems of Youth in Balochistan

Youth are backbone of any country and they play an important role to promote education, peace, prosperity, unity and love among different communities. Youth are ambassadors of countries.
However in Balochistan, 2,000 youth succeed hardly to get jobs from more than 20,000 who complete their graduation and Master degree.
“There is no project and other programs for deprived youth of Balochistan. We have a lot hurdles to come out of homes and pay educational expenses,” said Mr. Syed Khan Baloch resident of Dalbandin Chagai while talking to Balochistan Voices.
18 years youngster resident of Nok Kundi wished not to be named told Balochistan Voices that it was big goal for me to achieve a government job after completion of my MA Degree from University of Balochistan. I’ve served on daily wages bases in postal services department for more than 5. After 8 years huge struggle I have achieved my goal and appointed as a constable in Levies Force.
Balochistan’s Youth is feeling disappointment due to the lack of jobs told Mr. Gul Khan Naseer Baloch Head of Programs Azat Foundation Balochistan. It is responsibility of government to provide jobs to position holder youth. Upcoming generation minds are being converted in different negative activities. Their minds can be washed very soon. The insurgent groups are using young minds as a fuel to destroy peaceful environment in Balochistan, added Mr. Gul Baloch. The president of Pakistan has not announced a single penny for the appreciation of gold medalist, PhD and MPhil degree holder students of University of Balochistan during Convocation ceremony last week, it cause disappointment.
There is also no enforce-ability on federal department jobs quota for the youth of Balochistan, Mr. Baloch lamented.
After big struggle of Social sector and different youth groups pushed Government of Balochistan to approve draft of Youth policy but Un-luckily it is still pending.
Youth of Balochistan has a lot of problems in different fields of life. After completion of Masters, and MPhil degree big amount of youth wandering unemployed, some of well-educated youth are compelled to start Labor work. Some are affiliated with different private companies on low salaries to serve.
Young mind needs a free environment to study and avail all facilities. It is responsibility of state to ensure all basic facilities to young generation.
