Quetta: Water Supply Fell down due to Tripping of Tube Wells

Quetta: Water supply to Quetta city has fallen down from 100,000 gallons to 70,000 on daily basis due to tripping of tube wells.
Over a dozen of Tube wells have tripped in Quetta city and adjoining areas which has caused the shortage. People are facing an extreme shortage of water.
Private tube well and Tanker mafia have also started looting people. People are compelled to buy water tanker from 1200 to 1500 rupees.
 The government has initiated two tube wells at railway colony to fulfill water needs of residents but still remains off due to political concerns of parties told local residents while talking to Balochistan Voices.
Water Table has dropped very low in Quetta told Liaqat Ali Bugti Managing Director (MD) Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) while talking to Balochistan Voices. “A large number of illegal tube wells cause water scarcity problem,” He added
MD WASA added that We have established a team along which Magistrate and Metropolitan Corporation which will crackdown against illegal tube wells.
