Quetta Online Awarded Best Volunteer Group

Quetta: Quetta Online group of volunteers was awarded the best volunteer group award on International Volunteers Day, on Tuesday.
Zia Khan, the founder of Quetta Online received the award from Secretary Women Welfare Mr. Siddique Mandokhail.
Quetta Online is a volunteer group which believes on using social media to bring positive change.
Quetta Online received this award in the program to celebrate International Volunteers Day which was organized by UN Volunteers and UN women.

“Volunteers can play their prominent role to eradicate negative thoughts and promote positive things,” said Mr. Mandokhail. He added that Radio is one of the best tools to highlight most pressing issues.
“We have trained two groups of Volunteers from Quetta about Radio programs who can continue highlighting the social issues, said Mr. Talat Jahan of UN Volunteers on the occasion.
Pakistan Red Crescent Society and Girls guide Volunteers also performed a Drama.
In the end, Secretary Women Welfare Siddique Mandokhail distributed certificates among volunteers.
