Quetta: Importance of Mother Language’s was emphasized in a Seminar arranged by Pak-US Alumni Network (PAUN), Quetta Chapter, in collaboration with Balochi Academy, on Saturday.
Seminar was attended by Writers, Columnists and people working on Balochi, Brahvi, Pashto and Hazargi languages.
Mr. Gul Khan Naseer President of PUAN Quetta chapter said that Languages spoken in Pakistan are such as a flower pot which has different kinds of Roses and different accent and fragrance to attract the people.
He further added “It is our good luck that we have different language Academies in Quetta to promote the values of local languages.” We have to start work on district level to promote languages, he added.
He lauded Balochistan government for adding local languages in textbooks of primary classes. He said that government needs to train the teachers to read and write easily in their local languages.
Mr. Agha Gul, a literary author, said that “If I forget my mother tongue than how is it possible for me to identify myself and that from where I am coming.” He urged that it’s our duty to work for future of our mother languages.

Mr. Rahat Malik, an intellectual, said that “when we start the expression of our point of views then its known as a language But when the feelings are released in shape of words, then culture is formed.”
Sarwar Javed, a provincial bureaucrat, said that we have to work to change the mind set of children for the progress of mother languages. He urged the government to arrange Seminars, Talk Shows in different areas of Country to promote local languages.
Mr. Kabir Afghan of Pashtunkhwa Students Organization (PSO) said that his party PkMAP has a commitment to realize the values of mother languages to people. He further said, “We have to work to save our mother languages.”
Shazia Ahmed Langove, General Secretary of PUAN Quetta Chapter, said that “Mother Language’s day is celebrated by different communities all over the world to show their love with Mother Language’s.
Shazia Ahmed Langove, who was also the organizer, thanked the participants for attending the event.
