Baloch Culture Day Celebrated Across Balochistan

Quetta: Baloch culture day was celebrated across Balochistan, on Wednesday.
March 2nd, is celebrated as Baloch culture day every year by Baloch people residing in different parts of the world.
Former Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan and President of Balochistan National Party (BNP), Sardar Akhtar Mengal, attended Baloch culture day event organized by women Wing of BNP in Metropolitan ground.

“Only those nations can survive who cherish their culture, said Akhtar Mengal while addressing the media. He further added, “We have to protect our languages as they are under threat of extinction.”
Former CM urged Baloch people to not give up their culture under the influence of other cultures.
BNP held another program to celebrate Baloch Culture Day in Quetta Press Club. Abdul Wali Kakar, Vice President of BNP was Chief Guest of the event and it was presided over by Agha Hassan Baloch, Secretary Information of BNP. Participants of the event included women and children in huge numbers.

NP Baloch culture day program
National Party (NP) held a program to celebrate Baloch Culture day in MPA hostel Quetta. Advisor to CM on Finance, Mir Khalid Langove was chief guest of the event. Member of Provincial Assembly Dr. Shama Ishaq Baloch and other senior leaders of NP attended the event.

Baloch Culture day celebrated in Session court
Legal fraternity commemorated Baloch Culture day by holding a program in Session Court premises. Program was conducted under auspices of Balochistan Bar Council, High Court bar association and Balochistan Bar association. Lawyers and Judges attended the event in large numbers. Program comprised of Music program, Book stalls, poetry session and folk dance related to Balochi culture.
Mastung
A rally was organized to commemorate Baloch culture day in Mastung. Rally was jointly organized by BNP, NP and both factions of BSO.
Women and children in huge numbers participated in the rally which turned into a political gathering after reaching town committee hall.

Manzoor Baloch of BNP, Ghulam Farooq Shahwani of NP amongst others addressed the gathering and urged people to keep their culture alive.
Dalbandin
Balochi Culture day was celebrated with the collaboration of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan at Shaheed Eid Muhammed Notezai Football Tournament Dalbandin.
Students, Journalists and People from different walks of life attended the event.
Mr. Sad Rind, a participant, said that Balochi Culture is renowned in the world and it has a unique identity amongst different cultures.

Culture-Chagai

Kharan
In Kharan, people celebrated Baloch culture day by wearing traditional Balochi attire; Turbans, jackets and shoes.
People marched towards the main market of Karan to celebrate the culture day where songs were played and people performed Balochi chap on the tunes of traditional musical instruments such as doll and Soroz.
Car and motorcycle racing programs were held outside of Kharan city and exhibition of traditional handicrafts was conducted to show case Balochi culture.
Lasbela
Baloch culture day was celebrated in Lasbela University of Agriculture, water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), in Uthal town.
Chaap, traditional Balochi dance along with drum, rubaab and Balochi songs was performed by the students.
A function was arranged near the main gate of university and people from Uthal town also attended the event.
A cricket match was also played between departments of the university to celebrate culture day.
Vice Chancellor of LUAWMS arranged a dinner party for teachers at university mess and students arranged a musical night at Magsi boys’ hostel with all night Balochi Chaap.
