People of Kharan are waiting for the official visit of Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan since the days of late Jam Yousaf who visited Kharan during his tenure. Nawab Aslam Raisani did not visit Kharan during his 5 years government. Dr Malik Baloch during his two and half year government almost visited all districts of Balochistan but not Kharan.
Incumbent CM of Baluchistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, is expected to visit Kharan for the inauguration of Yak-Mach – Bisema road which is also considered as part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
People of Kharan have a lot of expectations from CM Balochistan to announce numerous development projects including the upgradation of District hospital where people do not have access to basic facilities such as modern X-ray machines, ultrasound etc.
Entire population of Kharan is also deprived of the natural gas due to which people are buying Iranian LGP.
Schools in Kharan still use the old system of education and lack multimedia system which is a major cause of illiteracy in the district. As a result people are forced to travel to Quetta to acquire education.
In that context, people of Kharan have huge expectations from the visit of CM Balochistan. They anticipate that CM will make numerous announcements which will help in addressing the grievances of people of Kharan.
