International 60 Seconds Film Festival Held in Quetta

Quetta: Fourth International 60 Seconds Film Festival was held in Quetta’s officer club where filmmakers from across the province stressed upon filming for social changes in the society.
The 60 Seconds International Film Festival promoting filming across the world conducted the Screening of 60 Seconds films from across the world here in Quetta officer club.
The Festival aims to encourage young filmmakers and provide them a better platform to share their ideas for social changes in the society.
The Festival Director Abrar ul Hassan said that, from past four years we have been conducting International 60 Seconds Film Festival to promote local filmmakers and their ideas.
“In today’s modern world people can highlight concealed issues existing in their society though their cameras, from many years we have received hundreds of film from across the world,” Abrar ul Hassan said.
Out of more than 500 film Afghan filmmaker Wahid Umeedi’s film “Vision” received first prize during 2015-16 International 60 Seconds Film Festival.
“The whole idea of our film was about peace that is need for the entire region these days,” the triumph Wahid Umeedi told after receiving his award.
“Film is an international language that can change the audience mind, this festival has provided us an opportunity to paint difficulties people of war-torn Afghanistan have been facing from decades,” Wahid Umeedi said.
Panelists of the festival including Journalists applauded the festival for being conducted in Quetta and emphasized on young generation to pursue filmmaking.
During three days Festival the Morango Films conducted photography workshop for kids in various schools where they shared basic techniques of filming with the school children.
