Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that the journey of peace and development in Balochistan has initiated with full speed, and I invite everybody to come and become a part of this journey. “I especially want to invite misguided people to get on the train of peace as destination of all of us is a peaceful and developed Balochistan.”
He was addressing a luncheon hosted in his honor by Speaker Raheela Durrani here, on Monday.
Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Amir Riaz, Provincial Ministers, Members of Provincial and National Assemblies, political and tribal notables, and media persons were among the attendees.
Chief Minister Balochistan out-rightly stated that neither the terrorist acts would deter their resolve nor anybody would be allowed to kill innocent people or enforce his philosophy upon masses.
“Political and military leadership has complete harmony in stamping out such elements,” he said, adding that returning of misguided people in the main stream of national politics is not only in the best interest of province and country but it is in their own interest.
“I once again invite them to come back to serve their own Balochistan and Pakistan, play their crucial role in the development of province and the country,” he added.
Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said we will have to give a developed and peaceful Balochistan to our coming generations as our intensions are good and God will support us. “We want to ensure provision of all basic amenities of life to our people,” he added.
He said that neither we are backward nor our province is small, as in terms of area and resources we are the largest province of the country. “The distance between Gwadar and Zhob is more than 1300 km while our population is less than 10 million, naturally this goes in our interest as we have small population with abundance of resources,” Chief Minister said.
He said that we have a long coastal area with four different weathers, and our province is located in a best geographical area, thus it is the responsibility of all of us to play our crucial role for the prosperity of the province and those days are not far when Balochistan would be the most prosperous province of the country.
Nawab Zehri said that the process of peace and development would continue in the province and we would further continue the development works of former chief minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch.
He said that the people of Balochistan are enlightened and generous, and we are the custodian of tradition of women respect. “First time in the history of the country a woman speaker was elected in Balochistan Assembly,” he added.
Chief Minister said that we are good Muslims and do not commit terrorism in the name of Islam nor there is any concept of suicide attacks in Baloch society, adding that in all suicide attacks the suicide bombers were from outside.
He said that those who think government is weak then they should remove their this misunderstanding as we know very well how to protect our people and no would let anyone to spread chaos and unrest in the province.
