Kohlu: Fraudster Fled Due to Negligence of District Administration

Kohlu: A person impersonating as the Executive Director of Solar Energy System, a fictitious company, managed to flee due to negligence of district Administration of Kohlu.
Shakir Hussain pretended to be the Executive officer of Solar Energy System and approached Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohlu and asked for security.
Without any verification or formal request from any department, DC provided the Levies personnel for escorting the impersonator. Taking advantage of the escorts, Shakir Hussain established good relations with the tribal chieftains and people of Kohlu while offering to install solar pumps for 600,000 rupees.
Shakir Hussain was also provided a government building for establishing his office in the town where he received applications for solar pumps against a non-refundable processing fee of five thousand.
Mr. Inaam, AC (Assistant Commissioner) Kohlu, who was recently transferred from Harnai District, probed into the matter and upon inquiry it was revealed that the same man committed fraud in Harnai District.
The person was absconder according to the rule of law and an FIR was lodged against him in December 2012 due to fraudulent activities.

AC Kohlu arrested Shakir Hussain as he had no documentary proof for the existence of such company nor He had any document for his affiliation.
Instead of supporting and encouraging his subordinate for his prompt action and saving people of the Poor District from a big scam, DC ordered AC to release Shakir Hussain.
Shakir Hussain fled Kohlu immediately after his release from the custody of AC Kohlu. Although He was not successful in his plan to cheat on the people, but was lucky to escape due to negligence of district administration.
The incident has put a question mark on the efficiency of District administration.
People of Kohlu are raising the question that is DC responsible and accountable for escape of a fraudster from rule of law.
