The Punjab Civilian Victims of Terrorism (Relief and Rehabilitation) Ordinance 2016 has approved monetary compensation for the civilian victims of terrorism. According to the ordinance, in case of a death of a civilian, his family members would receive Rs. 1 million and people with grievous injury and substantial injury would be paid Rs 500,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.
Despite, tall promises made by former Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch to assist the victims and mourners of Local Bus Tragedy that took place on Dukani Baba Chowk Saryab road Quetta on 19th September 2015, no financial assistance has been paid to any of the victims.
It is therefore appealed from authorities concerned to look thoroughly in the matter and ensure financial aid to the victims and mourners.
