Gwadar: People Demand Reopening of Aga Khan School

In the backdrop of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), people of Gwadar want reopening of Aga Khan School.
Aga Khan School was established in the year 1905 and initially students of Aga Khani Community received education in this school. Later on, it was made open for people from every background.
It was the first private school of Gwadar.
This school was managed by Aga Khan Board and imparted high standard of education till matriculation to both male and female students.
Graduates of the school are serving at top positions in different walks of life today.
Aga Khan School was closed down in the year 2005 after completing 100 years. It is the policy of Aga khans school that after completing 100 years they are closed down.
This school had 400 students at the time it was closed down and it charged normal fees from its students.
Presently, educational system that is being followed by most of the private and Government schools here in Gwadar was copied and taken from Aga Khan School.
People brought their kinds from very far places for the better education to Aga Kahn School in Gwadar.
Gwadar is the starting point of CPEC and there is talk of need of socio-economic development in this city. In that context, reopening of Aga Khan School would be a great gift for people of Gwadar.
People of Gwadar have appealed to His Highness Sir Aga Khan to reopen Aga Khan School in Gwadar and allow people of Gwadar to avail best quality education.
