Quetta: Patients are asked to pay heavy fees to get treatment in government hospitals of Quetta, learnt Balochistan Voices.
Couple of days back a delivery patient was brought by her husband for free treatment in Sandeman provincial hospital Quetta. However, the staff of the hospital refused to treat the patient without sum of money from the husband of patient.
Mr. Mohammad Amin, a local resident of Qambarani road works as a dispenser in private clinic. He was asked to pay undue money by the hospital staff for treatment of his wife.
“I can’t bear expenses to treat my wife in a private hospital, lamented Mr. Amin while talking to Balochistan Voices.
He was compelled to go and collect loan of 3 to 5 thousand rupees to provide treatment to his wife.
Patients have urged Minister Health Rehmat Saleh Baloch and Secretary Health Balochistan Dr. Umar Baloch to take against black sheeps in government hospitals who are engaged in violation of rules in government departments.
