Substantial Progress Made in 100 Days of Current Government: Spokesperson

Quetta: Incumbent Balochistan government lead by Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has made substantial progress in its first 100 days, said Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, Spokesperson of provincial government.
Speaking at a press briefing in Chief Ministers (CM) Secretariat on Tuesday, Mr. Kakar elaborated in detail the steps taken by the provincial government to improve situation in Balochistan.
“Immediately after current government took power, a series of target attacks on security forces started which have been controlled by security forces now,” claimed Mr. Kakar.
Listing down the achievements of the government, spokesperson said that current government has allocated Rs. 5 billion for beautification of Quetta and immediately released Rs. 50 million for cleaning Quetta.
Speaking about the drinking water shortage of Quetta, Mr. Kakar said that provincial government has approved a plan to pump water to Quetta from Pat feeder canal in the same way as water is pumped to Murree from Jhelum River.
He further said that Balochistan government successfully conducted a national seminar on CPEC in Quetta in February and a similar Seminar will be conducted in Gwadar in April.
He continued that Balochistan government has approved a mass transit system through rail which will be 35 Kilometer long and would connect Spezend with Kuchlak.
Referring to the case of HEC’s deprivation towards Balochistan, Spokesperson said that Balochistan government has corresponded with HEC based on media reports published about how HEC is depriving Balochistan of its share.
Mentioning another achievement of the government He claimed that “Balochistan food Authority has been established to keep check and balance on the food products in the province.”
Mr. Kakar also told media persons that government has approved funds for water treatment plants in Sabzal road and Samungli road areas of Quetta that would filter the water used for irrigating vegetable crops.
In the end, Mr. Kakar thanked Media persons for the continued support to the Balochistan government.
