Surab: Non-functional Veterinary Dispensary in Hajika town of Tehsil Surab is creating loads of problems for cattle farmers of the area.
Impoverished people of Hajika are compelled to take their livestock to veterinary dispensaries in far flung areas for treatment which increases their costs.
Mr. Lal Mohammad Nichari, councilor of UC Hajika told Balochistan Voices that people in Union Council Hajika depend on cattle farming for their livelihood. However, veterinary dispensary of Hajika always seems closed and Doctor or other staff can’t be seen in dispensary for treatment of cattle.
He further added that the building of Veterinary dispensary Hajika has transformed into ruins due to lack of maintenance.
Mr. Abdul Rehman, a resident and cattle farmer of Hajika said that “Our all income depends on our cattle. Veterinary dispensary Hajika is always close and none of staff is seen in dispensary.”
Residents of Hajika and cattle farmers have appealed to the government of Balochistan to take solid and serious action against staff of veterinary dispensary Hajika, Surab.
