A two day cultural event was organized in Panjgur on 19-20th of May in Izzat Academy.
The program was organized on behalf of health minister of Panjgur “Rehmat Saleh Baloch”. The aim and objective of this program was to raise awareness about the importance of Balochi literature and reveal the struggle of Izzat Academy in the betterment of Balochi literature.
Izzat Academy has been playing a significant role in promoting Balochi culture and also motivating the youth towards Balochi culture and literature but a few people knew that in Panjgur such an academy exists but in these two days people came to knew about it.
The program had three sub-programs, on 19th May different topics were discussed that were related to obstacles, improvement and future plans of Balochi literature. On first day, many people expressed their respective notions on Balochi literature, prose writing, poems and story writing. On second day, second session of program was organized that was based on poetry and songs. Many people from different parts of Balochistan participated and expressed their views.
In these 2 days, the program was made successful and it was highlighted by VSH news channel. Poets, Singers and writers from Karachi, Quetta, Gwadar and other parts of Balochistan participated in the program.
Many great people discussed and spoke on the title “Importance and betterment of Balochi literature.” The speakers were great balochi writer Prof. A.R Dad, Chairman of Syed reference library Maleer Karachi, professor Ramzan Bamuri, the great Balochi poet Ishaq Khamosh, the general secretary of Balochi Academy Quetta, Panah Baloch, chairman of Balochi department of UOB Professor Raheem Meher, the writer of Balochi novel, “Naal e Tawaar” Faqeer Mohammed Amber, the valiant writer of travelogues Mujahid Baloch, Chairman of Izzat Academy Advocate Haji Mohammed Hayat hayatan, Basheer Shehzad and other writers read their pieces in front of audience and disclosed the different aspects of Balochi literature.
On first day poets participated and read their impressive poetry and added beauty to the program. The great poets like Basheer Bedar, Ghani Hammal, Ishaq Khamosh, A.R Dad, Zahoor zaibi, Zubair Wahag, Hafeez Sanjir, Amaan Humraaz, Zakir Zaheer, Sabir Syed, Iqbal Zaheer, Sheymureed, Ayoob Rahchaar, Ghulam Nabi Bahand, Zimraan Meher and many other poets with their pearly words impressed the audience.
On 2nd day, a program was organized that was based on folk songs, classic songs, which is called “Saaz o zemeli maragish.” In this session singers participated that attracted the listeners. The singers were Noor Mohammed Nooral, Naeem Rahmdil, Rasool Bux Ahmed, Naseer Baloch, Rasool Jan Ajmal, Sabir Sameen, Zubair Saleh and Liaqat Baloch.
This program was concluded by distributing awards to the members of Izzat Academy, C.E.O of Vsh news Channel other staff members of Vsh and other members of the program. A huge community of man participated in this 2 day cultural event and media also did it’s best to bring it in front of nation. So far, such an event was organized and people of Panjgur also came to knew something about their literature. It is well said that now a day’s women are trying to work equally with men but in Panjgur still women need motivation and literature to attend such events.
