Dalbandin: Pests are destroying crops in Pat Golkwa and Saddar Union Councils of Dalbandin, learnt Balochistan Voices.
Grasshoppers are destroying the crops of Water Melon and Melons which have been cultivated by the farmers.
Agriculture is main source of livelihood for majority of people in rural areas of Balochistan.
Farmers of the two aforementioned Union Councils are suffering huge losses, learnt Balochistan Voices.
A Sense of tension prevails among the local farmers for the loss that they have suffered and continue to suffer due to damage to their crops.
“More than 60 percent crops of Water Melon and Melon have been destroyed by pests,” a local farmer told Balochistan Voices.
He complained that Agriculture department has failed to help the farmers of Dalbandin.
Farmers have asked for help from Chief Minister of Balochistan to help them out in this critical situation.
