Quetta: First Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Sandeman Provincial Hospital was inaugurated by Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Nawab Sana Ullah Khan Zehri on Wednesday.
CM was accompanied by Speaker Balochistan Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Minister Health Rehmat Baloch and Minister Education Rahim Ziaratwal during the education ceremony.
Medical ICU consists of 10 beds and equipped with modern medical facilities. It was established at a cost of Rs. 21 million which were provided by Speaker Balochistan Assembly in capacity as a Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA).
CM Balochistan told media at the occasion that more equipment will be provided to the Medical ICU soon. He vowed that Trauma Center will be made operational next month.
“It’s must for all doctors to be present at their duties all the time. Strict action will be taken against the absence of doctors and no one will be spared,” reiterated CM Balochistan.
He said that it’s also the right of people of other districts to get better quality healthcare facilities and therefore such Medical ICUs would be inaugurated in other district Headquarters soon.
