It is sad to say that Pakistan is fast losing its natural, green look at an alarming rate.
This is ruefully enhancing climate change, intensity of rainfall and deforestation, abetting the mass scale damage, which is very shocking news because it will take Pakistan’s ecosystem through a terrible ordeal.
Trees which were planted so that some were always in bloom during different seasons are dying at an alarming rate. Most of the green belts are also shrinking while we can find the population of the city, noise, dust and smoke on increase.
Needless to say, the survival of the saplings is also of concern as there is no effective mechanism for keeping an eye over the newly-planted trees nor is there enough staff to look after the saplings. As a result, most of them die within days of being planted.
These valuable forests certainly need to be preserved to avoid landslides and climate change which is quite a vast challenge for the Inhabitants of Pakistan and concerned authorities are supposed to form a new campaign to look after the saplings before they die which would be beneficial for the local communities to save their future generations.
But we can only hope that nature’s fury is restrained.
