Degree College for Boy’s in Khuzdar has been a very famous college in the past. Many of the top politicians of Balochistan such as Dr Malik Baloch Baloch, Sardar Aslam Bizenjo and many other government officers have graduated from Degree College Khuzdar. However during the course of last 10 years the standard of college has deteriorated rapidly.
Full teaching staff of college sanctioned by government is 56-60 lecturers, assistant professors, associate professors and a senior professor as principal in college. However, only 15 lecturers are serving in the college. After the demand of the public, education department posted only 6 more lecturers for both boys and girls Degree Colleges.
There are many problems in the hostel such as lack of proper mess and wash room facility in the hostels of the college. There is shortage of the furniture in the college.
College Library is available hardly three months in a year because when the college Librarian goes on leave he does not handover the charge to his assistant and thus students can’t be issued books.
When the students go to principal to tell him about the condition of the college then He blames the students for trouble making.
College principal is the junior most in ranking of assistant professors of the college but still serving as the Principal.
Education officers visit almost every school and college but they do not pay attention to this college.
Students of the college appeal from the higher authorities to take instant action to improve the condition of the college.
