Pilgrims face a lot of problems during performance of Holy Hajj and Umrah. There is no check and balance of Hajj and Umrah travel agents. Pilgrims pay a lot of money to avail facilities outside of country to perform Hajj and Umrah in a better way but they get disappointed when they reach Madina and Makkah.
People pay a lot of money in case of different types of taxation to the government. Government is bound to deliver basic facilities, but it is not being observed in case of pilgrims. People pay heavy sum of rupees to the travel agents for their easy access to Holy place during hajj and get opposite in return.
Pilgrims face a lot of problems in low rate hotels in the name of three and four stars where they have to pay extra cost of it. They are compelled to bear such problems with courage and perform their hajj and Umrah after facing a lot of problems.
Female Pilgrims told the Balochistan Voices that they have been booked in very low capacity hotels during their Umrah performing. They further told that there is no breakfast, lunch and dinner for them in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah. They bought everything in extra cost to eat and drink. They got very tired due to long travel on shanks pony to go and prepare prayers and perform other parts of Umrah in Haram Pak.
Thousands of Pilgrims face such conditions during performance of Hajj and Umrah. The Minister Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf, Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sana Ullah Khan Zehri and other related official should take serious action against Hajj and Umrah travel agents and make easy access to facilities for Pilgrims.
