Dalbandin: Hindu community traders protested against increase in incidents of robbery in form of a shutter down strike, on Monday.
Shutter down strike was called by Hindu Panchayat and majority of the shops in the market remained closed.
People faced a lot of problems due to strike in Dalbandin.
Protestors claimed that in the evening breaking locks and theft in shops of Hindu community is daily routine.
Mr. Brij Lal and Ajeet Mehta said that there is no security provided from Police Force in Dalbandin. “More than 5 shops of Hindu shopkeepers have been looted in last week but Police has not taken any serious action against the culprits,” they alleged.
Hindu Panchayat rejected plea of DPO Mubarak Shah Achakzai and SHO Abid Shah to end shutter down strike.
Social activist Mr. Waqar Reki told Balochistan Voices that due to absence of Street lights robbery incidents often take place and shopkeepers bear big losses.
He requested from Mir Dawood Khan Notezai, Chairman District Council Chagai, to ensure installation of Street lights in Dalbandin Bazaar and surroundings to protect shops of Hindu community and other traders.
