Journalist Training Workshop Concluded in Quetta

Quetta: Three Day journalist Training workshop concluded in Quetta on Wednesday.
Training was organized by Pakistan Press Foundation (PFF) in Quetta Press Club from 18th to 20th July.
PPF is an organization that works on overall improvement of journalism in the country and conducts journalism training programs in different cities on regular basis.
Trainers in the program urged the participants to follow rules while reporting and that will improve the quality of journalism.

Younas Baloch, Deputy Mayor Quetta, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony of the training program.
Younas Baloch said “I have also worked as a Journalist and I know the difficulties of this field.” He added that Provincial Government and Metropolitan Corporation want to solve the problems of Journalists.
“We cannot deny the role of Media to highlight the problems of people in front of the world. Provincial Government wants to establish a Media Academy to train the journalists of Quetta and Balochistan,” he continued.

Shahzada Zulfiqar, President of Quetta Press Club, said that it is our duty to highlight the issues and realities.  He further added that when we are reporting a conflict then we have to investigate carefully and verify things before publishing the news.
Naseem Sheikh of PPF said that next training session in Quetta will be conducted in August.
In the end of program Younas Baloch distributed certificates among participants of Workshop.
