Dalbandin: There is complete breakdown of Electricity supply in Mashkel Tehsil of District Washuk for last 16 days, Learnt Balochistan Voices.
People of Mashkel are facing trouble in very hot and humid weather due to lack of supply of electricity.
Mir Jiand Khan Regi, Councilor from Mashkel, told Balochistan Voices that “4 out of 5 transformers of Mashkel Bazaar are out of order for more than two weeks.”
“No WAPDA personnel have bothered to make an effort to repair the transformers to restore electricity supply,” he lamented.
He informed Balochistan Voices that Electricity transformers were installed in Mashkel last time in 2003 when General Qadir Baloch was Governor of Balochistan
Reportedly, Transmission line towers coming from Iran have also broken down but WAPDA has not repaired them.
Mr. Regi claimed that they have asked QESCO chief many times to take action but there has been no response.
He warned that if problem is not resolved in next few days then they will not hesitate from holding sit-in protests on the road connecting Dalbandin with Taftan.
