Quetta: Home and Tribal Affairs department of government of Balochistan has banned pillion riding and carrying and display of arms publicly in Quetta for a period of one month.
This decision was made in the backdrop of recent wave of terrorism in Quetta city where 8 security personnel were killed in two days.
This announcement was made through a notification issued by Under Secretary of Home and Tribal Affairs Department, on Thursday.
These prohibitions have been imposed through the sub-section 6 of section 144 of Criminal Penal code 1898.
Legal action will be taken against those who were found in violation of the aforementioned bans.
Law enforcement personnel have been exempted from these prohibitions.
