The news about the attack on the innocent people of Quetta have sickened and horrified all Pakistanis. Seventy people-including lawyers, journalists and other civilians were killed when a suicide bomber exploded himself in Civil Hospital Quetta.
Terrorists in Balochistan have been targeting people like never before, the mushrooming number of the check posts of law enforcement agencies in Balochistan has no significant impact on law and order situation of capital city of this province, it seems that terrorists have free run in the city.
It`s time to call things by their right name: Blowing up a horde of acquitted people is terrorism, pure and simple, and the slogan and failed policies of war against extremists, organized and funded by our own government, is nothing else but adding fuel to fire. It is our duty and obligation to speak out, to demand that our elected representatives in parliament immediately review and restructure their strategies to the policies regarding security of the common people, where the money continues to flow and meanwhile the suffering continues as well, especially in Balochistan.

The war between Terrorists and law enforcement agencies continue to fill our hospitals, and graveyards by the common innocent people

If we shed light upon the budget allocation we get to know that a sum of Rs 30.25 billion was allocated for law and order, which includes provision of modern weapons and vehicles to police, Levies Force and Balochistan Constabulary while it was also decided that the provincial government will also provide financial assistance to Frontier Corps under these allocations. After spending a huge amount for better law and order situation in Balochistan unfortunately, the situation in this region is worse than the previous government.

Killing of people in the broad daylight is the indicator of a province’s instability, how could authorities say that law and order situation is improving

It is a war that we are losing.  The war between Terrorists and law enforcement agencies continue to fill our hospitals, and graveyards by the common innocent people. It is the imaginative credulity of the authorities who think that law and order situation has improved  in Balochistan due to the security forces. But the situation of Balochistan is entirely different from what they analyzed. The killing of innocent people in the broad daylight is the indicator of a province’s instability – the higher it is, the less stable this province is regarded to be. Despite these facts, how could authorities say that law and order situation is improving.
This situation requires the specific conclusion that Pakistan is still tolerating the consequences of American`s war against Taliban and al-Qaeda. After the worst terrorist attack on America by Taliban, and since then, we have lived under the shadow of atrocities designed to frighten as well as kill us. However, there is no reliable way to stop them all. It seems there is an unending lawlessness in Balochistan and it is getting worse by each passing day.
Today, every citizen is living a startled life, every body is curious to know Who did it? The question looking forward is: What’s next? The Government should review the international relations policy, so that people of Pakistan can live secure and peaceful life and the people can celebrate its independence month with a new zeal and vigour.
Finally, those who resort to killing innocents will achieve nothing but the defeat of their own cause.
