Balochistan-wide Protests Held Against Attack on Media in Karachi

Quetta: Protest demonstrations were held in several cities of Balochistan by journalists and members of civil society against attacks on media houses in Karachi, on Tuesday.
In Quetta, a protest demonstration was held under the auspices of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) outside Quetta Press Club.
Sarfraz Bugti, Provincial Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, also attended the protests. He condemned the attack on media houses by an ethnic political party and vowed to support independent media.
Shahzada Zulfiqar, President of Quetta Press Club and Hammadullah Siapad President of Balochistan Union of Journalists also addressed the protest demonstration.
In Gwadar, a protest demonstration was held outside Gwadar Press Club (GPC) which was attended by members of GPC and Chairman Municipal Committee Abid Sohrabi.

The attack was strongly condemned by the protestors and Sindh government was asked to arrest the perpetrators.
Abid Sohrabi, Noor Mohsin President of GPC and Sajid Baloch President of Pakistan Media Council Gwadar spoke at the occasion.

In Dalbandin, a protest demonstration was held outside Dalbandin Press Club which was attended by Journalists and Civil Society members.
Protestors condemned the attack and vowed to support the media friends in Karachi.
