Fourteen Injured in Blast Targeting a Federal Judge

Quetta:  Fourteen people, including 4 security personnel, sustained injuries while a roadside bomb exploded on Zarghoon Road Targeting the convoy of Justice Zahoor Ahmad Shahwani of Federal Shariat Court, on Thursday Morning.
According to security officials, a 3-4 KG Improved Exclusive Device (IED) was exploded by unidentified miscreants on side of Sariab flyover near Al-Khair hospital.
Justice Zahoor Ahmad Shahwani, who has served as head of Balochistan Chapter of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), escaped the blast unhurt while 4 personnel of Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) guarding his vehicle and 10 civilians sustained injuries.

Vehicle of Dr. Shehnaz Naseer Baloch, former Principal of BMC, was also damaged due to blast but she did not sustain any injuries.
Rescue teams shifted the injured people to Sandeman Provincial Hospital and Combined Military Hospital for treatment.
Sarfraz Bugti, Home Minister of Balochistan, said that bomb was plant at a busy road and terrorist take advantage by planning bombs and then fleeing.
“These blasts are aimed at sabotaging Independence Day activities in Balochistan. I believe these cowardly acts will not bring down our morale. We are in a conflict zone and we will fight with renewed resolve,” He told media.
This bomb blast took place just two days after the deadly blast in Sandeman Provincial Hospital which took the lives of 73 people including 48 lawyers.
