Being a Baloch, I am very happy to know that National University of Modern Languages (NUML) will set up a campus in Gwadar primarily for teaching Chinese to the people of Balochistan and Balochi to the Chinese nationals in order to play an effective and significant role to boast the trade and economic activities
Campus will become functional after the completion of the Gwadar-port and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that is being completed with the financial help and participation of China.
According to some officials the directive of opening a campus in Gwadar was issued by the current President Mamnoon Hussain to enable people of the area to acquaint themselves of future needs and opportunities.
NUML campus in Gwadar wouldn’t only help the local people to become part of the workforce for the Gwadar Port but other Pakistan-China joint ventures as well.
However, this is a magnificent initiative taken by the government. In fact, it will help both Chinese and Pakistanis to strengthen their friendship and will help the next generations to dream for a modern and developed Pakistan.
