In Balochistan a sharp increase has been observed in the maternal and infant mortality rate just owing to untrained midwives who attend the delivery cases unknowingly.
The main reason of the deaths of the mother and the new born babies are reportedly the unskilled midwives who are assisting the women during delivery cases.
Above all, lack of health care centers and no gynecologists in the rural areas has further put the mother and babies lives at risk. As a result, the deaths of the children are occurring on daily basis.
I therefore request the government to provide healthcare centers to pay attention to the people’s health.
