There is lack of educational and health facilities in the town and people are deprived of basic facilities, claim the residents of the town.
Saindak Copper Gold project is situated at a distance of just 40 KM from Taftan town but still there are no signs of development work in the town by the mega project.
“We have brought the issues of lack of development of Taftan to the attention of Chief Minister, MNA and MPA of the area but in vain,” said Hameed Baloch a resident of Taftan. “The only give assurance and practically do nothing to solve the problems,” he lamented.
People of the town have urged Balochistan Government and their public representatives to ensure basic development work in Taftan.
